Chanelle Loftness, TWH 2026 Teaching Assistant (Fiction)
Chanelle Loftness is a Seattleite who transplanted to San Francisco in the late aughts and now lives in Chicago. She received her Juris Doctorate from Seattle University School of Law and has worked in the eDiscovery industry for over 15 years.
Her short stories can be found in several anthologies, and her full-length novel When Grace Fell is currently looking for a home. She’s had residencies at Under the Volcano (2024 & 2025) and Rockvale Writers’ Colony (2024).
In her free time, she enjoys casting literary and literal spells by Lake Michigan and spending time with her birds, Everly and Caelus, and cats, Fat Tuesday and Ash Wednesday. Chanelle writes horror, YA fantasy, spiritual realism, and speculative fiction.
